You Know What Time It Is! Collaboration by The Bruery and The Full Pint.com is a 15.1% ABV American Strong ale brewed with Peanut Flour, Salt and Boysenberries added aged in Bourbon Barrels.

Label:

Stately Affair!

==Introduction==

It’s peanut butter jelly time peanut butter jelly time! Where You at, Where You at? Now there ou go there you go, peanut butter jelly peanut butter jelly!! Damn. If PB Thursday wasn’t enough, they went ahead and added some jelly into the peanut butter mix! Granted, this is not Black Tuesday, but it might as well be. This beer since its inception was another beer that came from waayyyyy left field along with what White chocolate with cherries. I have to admit, the Bruery keeps pushing that damn limit of taste and experience forward and forward with every release. It’s a reason I am still a member of their reserve society for many years. This beer might just be the next favorite in the list of supremes for me from the Bruery. Time to take it to trial! Cheers!

Aromas:

Super Rich peanut butter and Raspberry Jelly aromas, lactose milk sugar, molasses, dark fruit raisins, black berries, blue berries, black cherries, currants, plums, cherry cheesecake, choco flan, bananas, vanilla, caramel, roasted peanuts with shells, nutter butter cookies, toffee, coffee cake, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, earthy notes, Reese’s peanut butter puffs cereal, coconut hints, marshmallows, graham cracker smores and rocky road ice cream hints.

Flavors:

Rich Reese’s pieces peanut butter cups, Rich Raspberry Jelly, Boysenberry cobbler, toasted rye bread, bananas, vanilla, caramel, roasted peanuts with shells, Nutter Butter Cookies, peanut brittle, roasted peanuts, peanut butter fudge, Capn’ Crunch Peanut butter crunch, oak, bourbon, marshmallows, peanut butter and chocolate smores, Cocoa Krispies, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, Baker’s Chocolate, German chocolate, Belgian chocolates, dark fruit raisins, plums, figs, dark cherries, raspberries, currants, pomegranates, boysen berries, black berries, flan, dulce de leche caramel, cotton candy, Irish Cream, Danish Cream, molasses, anise, maple syrup, rocky road ice cream, graham crackers, peanut butter cereal, port wine, crème brulee, tobacco, leather, mocha, Bananas, clove spice, oreo cookies, coffee cake, hazelnut nectar, toffee, piloncillo sugar cone, waffle cone, peanut butter chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, butterscotch, almond joy coconut, peanut butter chocolate mousse, 3 leches/ 3 Milks cake, sweetened condensed milk, cherry and boysenberry peanut butter pie, smuckers and pecan pie.

Aftertaste:

Rich peanut butter and dark fruit raspberry, boysenberries, cherries, strawberies and other berry mixed lingers along with caramel, vanilla, hazelnut, nutter butter, cap’n crunch and Reese’s cereal, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and flan hints. No alcohol in the taste, super easy to drink despite the ABV, smooth, creamy, velvet and silky mouthfeel with a pitch black and crimson body.

Overall:

That baseball bat had nothingon this extremely bready, peanut butter and mixed berry jelly dessert. No fucking contest. This thing is definitely something that I think can stand toe to toe with the greats of Brury’s Weekday series, the White Chocolates and even more! I have no wordsleft to describe this glory of a beer. It is essentially something that I always wanted to see bottled. I have tried the few PB&J beers I could get my hands on and all were phenomenal, but this… this is just to the amazing super 4th or 5th dimension above. Get this beer if you can!!! They might still have it on tap as of August 2017!

Anime Corner:

Sash Lilac from Galaxy Trail Studios series, Freedom Planet! Was used in this pairing because a beer of this caliber definitely needed a character that paired greatly with my love for peanut butter and peanut butter jelly beers. Since I have been notorious to pair may favorite anime waifus in with some of the Bruery’s best, it was time that I brought her into the mix. What’s not to complement? Sash lilac is essentially that purple jelly that was missing from this peanut butter craze of mine. She is technically my new favorite addition to my already favorite list of top favorite anime characters only followed by Kos-mos, Temari, Yoruichi and Ryuko. She’s fast as hell and has a rightful sense of justice, she is humble and will stop at nothing to help out her friends and loved ones. Just the right character to pair a beer such as the this to the almighty Weekday series and above. This Peanut butter and jelly craze!

That Orange Wrapper by Four Sons Brewing

Rating: 6/6

That Orange Wrapper by Four Sons Brewing is an 8.6 % ABV Imperial Stout brewed with peanuts and chocolate.

Label:
Brewed with peanuts and chocolate, producing a luxurious mouthfeel followed by a decadent finish.

==Introduction==

Obtained this one at Mr. K’s Liquor in front of the Bruery. I have never heard of this one but seeing as it was a peanut butter beer, I had to bring it to the site. Peanut Butter beers are something of a guilty pleasure for me and the more I find them, the more I want to bring them to the site to compare to other peanut butter brews. 4 sons has been a definite hit for me especially after the many I have tried from them like the Coco, their Anniversary brew and the Up on the Roof. That is why when I saw this one I had to bring it to the site. I definitely wanted to see how good their peanut butter beer was. Let’s take a look, cheers!

Aromas:
Rich Chocolatey Peanut butter, roasted peanuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, almonds, Reeces Peanut butter cups, Peanut brittle, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, bakers chocolate, earthy hop notes, captain crunch peanut butter cereal, Cocoa Krispies, chocolate cake, rocky road ice cream, molasses, dark fruit currants, cherries, prunes, raisins, brownie batter, roasted coffee, mocha, espresso, vanilla, caramel and cookie dough.

Flavors:
Rich Reeces Pieces and Reeces Peanut butter cups, Peanut brittle, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, bakers chocolate, earthy hop notes, captain crunch peanut butter cereal, Cocoa Krispies, dark fruit currants, cherries, prunes, raisins, rye bread, molasses, anise, tobacco notes, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, chocolate mousse, fudge and peanut butter cake, brownie batter, roasted coffee, mocha, espresso, vanilla, caramel, roasted peanuts, rocky road, cookie dough and peanut butter ice cream, flan, toasted coconut hints, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, almonds, cashew hints, nutter butter cookies, peanut butter cheesecake and double chocolate cake.

Aftertaste:
Finishing with unsweetened peanut butter flavor and roasted and earthy peanuts, lots of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, dark fruit, vanilla, caramel and cookie dough ice cream. No alcohol in the taste, dark full body, smooth, creamy, chewy and velvety mouthfeel and a moderate drinkability.

Overall:
Damn succulent! The peanut butter chocolate in the finish truly lasts for days. While I still love many of the other peanut butter beers I have had in the past, this one is damn insane. Like if they actually melted Reese’s peanut butter cups into the beer. It is insane! It is not a diabeetus cloying sweet beer but actually an earthy and roasty, real peanut butter taste. They really hit the nail on the head with this one and I highly recommend it!

Anime Corner:
Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill was used in this pairing mainly for the colors of the beer. I know she is mainly Red and Black but under the certain lighting, she can have some orange to her. That and I loved this beer so much, I brought one of my favorite anime girls to the site again. In a way, Senketsu (The sentient living clothing she wears) is almost like the wrapper holding the sweetness together.

==Introduction==
15385508_10103803534418500_1322740757984631632_o
A limited release from Mission Brewery. It has been a long time since I tried the Missions Dark Seas and the Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Seas. Both are world class beers and definitely some of the best. When I first saw they had released a peanut butter version I nearly flipped. While I haven’t had too many of the Missions brews, they are always amazing! I am not sure if this is the same as their Captain Crunch Peanut butter version they had on tap but it would make sense as the Captain is a captain of a ship. Pirates or not, it would sure fit. Let’s have a look at this one, cheers!

Aromas:
Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, bakers chocolate, peanut butter, nutter butter cookies, roasted peanuts, Reece’s peanut butter cup, vanilla, roasted coffee, mocha, pralines, hazelnut nectar, dark fruit currants, prunes, raisins, rye bread, molasses, anise, tobacco notes, rocky road ice cream, marshmallows, graham cracker smores, toasted coconuts and brown sugar.

Flavors:
Rich peanut brittle, roasted peanuts, real peanut butter, nutter butter cookies, Reece’s peanut butter cup, captain crunch peanut butter cereal, vanilla, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, bakers chocolate, rocky road ice cream, marshmallows, graham cracker smores, toasted coconuts, coffee cake, flan, dark fruit currants, prunes, raisins, rye bread, molasses, anise, tobacco notes, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, caramel, roasted coffee, mocha, pralines, hazelnut nectar, walnuts, macadamia nuts, almond milk, roasted barley, bananas, dark cherry hints, chocolate mousse, fudge and peanut butter cake and brown sugar.

Aftertaste:
Finishing with lots of nutty unsweetened peanut butter flavor, roasted coffee, dark fruit, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel and roasted barley bitterness. No alcohol in the taste, dark full body, smooth, creamy, chewy and velvety mouthfeel and a moderate drinkability.
15419796_10103803534173990_3800637196670978626_o
Overall:
Damn insane. Very exceptional brew. Yes, it is not barrel aged but the peanut butter flavors and chocolate are ridiculous. Overall, the beer is very complex and it does appear that they are using real peanut butter and not peanut butter flavoring. Either that or peanut flour. I am not sure, but regardless, the semi-sweet peanut butter and chocolate flavors from this one are definitely unique from other peanut butter beers. Not to detract from other peanut butter beers as they are all amazing, but this one definitely stands on its own. Also, the Russian Imperial style and flavors complements the peanut butter and chocolate flavors so well! Highly recommended.

Anime Corner:
Franco il Nero (Cyan hair) and Donne Annonime (Blonde hair) from Outlaw Django Tre Donne Crudeli as well as Nitro+ Cross over of Ignis from Jingai Makyo and Al-Azif from Demonbane were used in this pairing mainly since I used Franco and Donne in the original and Bourbon Barrel aged version of Dark seas. Like finding the treasure. This beer is a treasure in itself. The addition of the other characters was mainly for the sake of using new art work to pair with the beer. I must say that they pair really well with the flavors and the colors of the ingredients this feels like it has. Especially the complexity. Overall though, they all come from the same company, Nitro+ so I like how this turned out.

==Introduction==

I first tried this beer at the first BeerBumz beer session when I was introduced to the group by my friend Augie Escobedo. We went to his friend’s house and many brought different beers. I brought my home brew which I am glad many loved. Someone had brought this one in and I had remembered so that when I finally saw a bottle of this for sale, I had to get it and bring it to the site. This is the first beer I try from Track Seven in Sacramento and what a great way to start. I will look for their other beers too. Let’s take a look, cheers!

Aromas:
Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, dark fruit raisins, currants, peanut butter, vanilla, marshmallows, peanut butter chocolate smores, lactose milk sugar, Irish cream, walnut pie, praline ice cream, cashew butter notes, candi sugar, chocolate mousse, molasses, chocolate mint, earthy hop notes, Nutter Butter cookies, hazelnut nectar, Reese’s peanut butter cup hints.

Rich Nutter Butter cookies, Hazelnut nectar, Reese’s peanut butter cup, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, peanut brittle, pecan pie, coffee cake, mocha, dark fruit raisins, currants, dark cherry yogurt, vanilla, marshmallows, peanut butter chocolate smores, lactose milk sugar, Irish cream, walnut pie, praline ice cream, Peanut butter Chocolate Truffle turtles, Almond butter, cashew butter notes, candi sugar, chocolate mousse, molasses, chocolate mint, earthy hop notes, Mazapan, fruit cake and chocolate bananas.

Aftertaste:
Finishes with peanut butter chocolate sweetness, dark fruit hints, earthy hop hints, vanilla, smores, and pecan pie hints. No alcohol in the taste, Dark crimson medium body, creamy, velvety, smooth and mild mouthfeel with an easy drinkability.

Overall:
An exceptional, and awesomely delicious brew. Extra credit for this one goes because of the fact that to me, they really hit high marks with this one since I like nutty beers and this one is exactly that, super nutty and chocolatey. That and I was hooked when I first tried it back then. It may not seem like much at first glance but wait till you try it. Definitely give this one a shot and grab a couple!

Anime Corner:
Makoto Nanaya from Blazblue was paired perfectly with this beer because not only did I want to show the label colors, but she is a nutty girl. She is a squirrel and squirrels love nuts. Heck she goes crazy for them. Either way, with the rich flavors of peanut butter that are given from this beer, I couldn’t think of any other awesome characters to pair this beer with.

¡Viva La Beaver! By Belching Beaver

13557900_10103365180812640_2953433082388971184_nRating: 6.5/7

¡Viva La Beaver! By Belching Beaver is a 7.5% ABV Sweet/Milk Stout brewed with Peanut Butter, and Mexican Chocolate.

Label:

We made this beer originally for the SD Tap Room in Pacific Beach as their 8th Anniversary beer. Marc Truex set it all up. It became our highest rated beer (until Pound Town). Thomas kept asking to make it again but we never ad tank space. Now that we opened the new Oceanside facility we can make many more styles. Troy said he wanted to start a Milk Stout series, we decided to start with this one. It’s Mexican Chocolate. It’s peanut butter. The Beaver has a cool mustache. What’s not to like? I wanted to call it “Livin La Beaver Loca”, but I was outvoted.

Cheers!

Tom

==Introduction==
13580478_10103365180752760_3416767340637390996_o

When I first saw this beer, I literally went insane. I love the Peanut butter milk stout they make and overall peanut butter beers. I have had so many delicious Mexican Choco Stouts as well that have definitely blown me away. Now when I saw Belching Beaver decided to mix up the 2 and bottle it, it was a mind blow! I was able to get this one early as I purchased it at CraftShack.com but I know it will be around here locally soon. I just couldn’t wait to bring it to the site which is what made me so excited. So I am happy to present, the review to this awesome new entry from Belching Beaver. Salucita!

Lots of hints of dulce de leche, mazapan, dark fruits, marshmallowss, champurrado and nutter butter cookies. No alcohol in the taste. Deep dark abyss body, rich, velvety, smooth, creamy and syrupy mouth feel with a moderate drinkability.

Overall:

Madre de Dios! Supremely exceptional. This is definitely one of the best if not the best Peanut Butter Milk Stout I have ever had. This one definitely reminds me of Ramuri’s Peanut butter stout from Tijuana. Although the Mexican Chocolate definitely brings it to a newer level and really compliments the beer overall. This is something I will definitely get again and stash several bottles of. So much so that I would suggest you do the same if you loved the original peanut butter milk stout. Highly recommended.

Anime Corner:

Original Mexican characters by Daniel Heron of Deviantart.com, Cham Cham from Samurai Showdown and Annet Myer from El Viento were all used in reference to the Mexican themed beer that we have here as well as all the colors to fit the label. Also, the anthropomorphic characters from the first picture and Cham Cham fit with the little Mexican beaver. The attire from Annet and the girl fit with old school indigenous and revolutionary gear wore in the pre modern eras.

Sweep The Leg (Karate Kid Beer) by Infamous brewing is an 8% ABV American Stout brewed with Peanut Butter.

Label:
Cobra Kai

Peanut butter & Chocolate are a match made in heaven. Sweep The leg has roasted peanut nose and a subtle but noticeable peanut butter finish. Strike First. Strike Hard. No Mercy!!

Commercial Description:
“Sweep the Leg” Peanut Butter Stout is based on an American Stout with the unique addition of peanut butter. The peanut butter is added during the fermentation process for maximum flavor. The beer has a roasted peanut butter nose, smooth body, light hop profile and a noticeable but subtle peanut butter finish.

==Introduction==

Obtained this one through one of the many awesome trades with my friend Aaron Mendiola at www.beermetaldude.com. This is indeed, the Karate Kid beer. For many that do not know about the original 1980’s classic, Cobra Kai was the dojo for martial arts where the antagonist sensei John Kreese was the master. He taught his student Johnny Lawrence to “sweep the leg” of the protagonist Daniel LaRusso during the match near the end of the movie which caused Daniel to almost lose the match, was it not for Mr. Miagi’s awesome healing. Anyways, this tribute is for the dojo and the movie and seeing as it is one of a kind, I am glad I was able to get this to the site thanks to my friend Aaron. Much awesomeness! Cheers a many!

Aromas:
Rich roasty notes of barley, coffee, Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, Irish cream, mocha coffee, espresso, nutter butter cookies, dark fruit notes of raisins, cherries currants, vanilla, pecan pie, hazelnut chocolate mousse, peanut butter and brown sugar.

Flavors:
Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, roasted barley, peanut butter, peanut brittle, earthy hop notes, chocolate mousse, dark fruit raisins, currants, cherry, vanilla, molasses, roasted peanuts, pecan pie, hazelnut nectar hints, walnuts, pralines, caramel, butterscotch hints, Irish cream, mocha coffee, espresso, nutter butter cookies and lactose milk sugar sweetness.

Aftertaste:
Finishing with a nutty unsweetened peanut butter flavor, dark fruit, dark chocolate, earthy hop and roasted barley bitterness. No alcohol in the taste, dark full body, smooth, creamy and velvety mouthfeel and an easy to moderate mouthfeel.

Overall:
A very good beer displaying more characteristics of actual peanut butter than natural peanut butter flavorings like some of the other beers I have had. Basically more of a peanut and nuttiness which is very pleasant for those that do not like absolute sweetness in their beers. It reminded me of my home brew as I did actually add the dry peanut butter in the primary fermentation as they did as well so the outcome is great. I am glad I did something right and this beer proves it. An awesome beer especially if you love peanut butter beers but also Karate Kid.

Anime Corner:
Ranma Saotome and Shampoo from Ranma ½ were used in this pairing to pair with the colors of the label, martial arts and sweep the leg as you can see Ranma do so in the artwork. In this case however, Shampoo, the hot Amazonian with the blue hair is the antagonist in this case where as Ranma is the protagonist. Interesting how it is the opposite of the movie. However, in recent film theory, there is information showing that Daniel was the true antagonist. Check this video out to see what I mean

Label:
Belgian Imperial Peanut Butter Milk Stout brewed with Unicorn Blood Coffee, Organic Black Cherry syrup, Cocoa Nibs and vanilla beans oak aged in Dragon’s Milk Beer Barrel Bourbon.

Long ass description for a beer that has been sitting aging for more than 6 months in the dark recesses of another dimension. Yes, this beer comes from a realm of reality where the liquid itself transports your senses to an existence that not even the collapsed stars of the universe dare to peek their event horizons at. You said, “screw it, it’s just a beer” and after your first sip, now you entered the unknown dimension. There, you meet with the Foxy Vixen that helps you on your journey back home, but once you realize that you never sensed the alcohol in the first place since you were too busy indulging in the sweet Godly Ambrosia of a dessert this is. Well, it was clear as day that it was too late and in the darkness of unimaginable oblivion you remain. Don’t worry though, I am sure your next astral exploration across the quantum will be more successful. For now, just remember, a sip at a time and you’ll be fine.

Ingredients: Water, Malts, Dark Matter’s “Unicorn Blood Coffee”, Lactose Milk Sugar, Belgian Dark Candy Sugar, Cane Sugar, Peanut Butter, Organic Black Cherry syrup, Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla Beans, Oak Aged “Dragon’s Milk Beer Barrel Bourbon”, Monastery/Trappist yeast, RBY Monk’s yeast and Abbey Yeast.

==Introduction==
 11154816_10102516153086010_3356839740307646426_o
Proeject# 6 One of the craziest things I have ever done in my life. Yes, a real mad science experiment of a beer. After brewing 5 different beers and learning the process of aging and higher gravity beers, I decided I take a huge gamble and create a beer that was along the lines of some of the best high gravity barrel aged beers I could ever find. Yes, I am talking about Black Tuesday, Dark Lord Imperial Stout, Creme Brulee, Like is Like…, Firestone Walker Parabola and even Thirteenth Hour Belgian Stout. I figured if I could make something like that, I would definitely learn so much more about brewing extravagant beers.

So why the name Sangri Leche and Maelstrom? Maelstrom since the beer is pretty scary as a storm that is a portal to another dimension. “Sangri-Leche” meaning Bloody Milk came as a tribute to using Unicorn Blood Coffee and Milk sugar as it is part milk stout as well. Mainly though, it was suggested by my friend Richard Stan Avila after one of the episodes from our favorite show: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XONh38l6p8Q)

I started this project in April 2015 and aged the beer until today, Friday November 13, 2015. (Yes I made it so dramatic). So the day has finally come and after so much work of mashing, heating. Boiling, fermenting, pitching, siphoning, aging and bottling (Thanks to my friend William Carranza of El Borracho Hombrewing for helping me bottle the beer), I finally bring forth a beer that may actually be up there with some of the greats. I give you, my Frankenstein brew. Let’s take a look and analyze this monster, cheers!

Aromas:
Super Rich Black Cherry, Raspberry Chambord, Dark fruit raisins, prunes, cherries, plums, figs, Dark chocolate, Milk chocolate, Milk Shake, Rich Fudge Chocolate cake, port wine, bananas, clove spice, Hazelnut nectar, Walnuts, pecan pie, almond joy chocolate, toasted coconut hints, bourbon, oak, dulce de leche caramel, peanut butter, fancy coffee, roasted coffee, Mocha, Kahlua coffee Liqueur, flan, milk sugar and choco flan.

Flavors:
Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Chocolate Milk Shake, Chocolate Cheese cake, Chocolate Mousse, Oreo cookies and cream, cocoa crispies, vanilla, rich oak, bourbon, dulce de leche caramel, Mocha, roasted Coffee, fancy coffee, Kahlua coffee liqueur, Dark fruit raisins, prunes, cherries, plums, figs, peanut butter, coconut, Hazelnut nectar, Walnuts, pecan pie, bananas, clove spice, dark candi sugar, rock candy, capirotada raisin bread pudding, chocolate flan, tres leche cake hints, sweetened condensed milk, lactose milk sugar, Chocolate cookie dough, rocky road ice cream, Dark Fudge Chocolate cake, port wine hints, rich raspberry Chambord and more.

Aftertaste:
Lingering rich flavors
Despite the strong ABV, there is no alcohol in the taste. Dark Abyss Full Body from another dimension with a thin layer of bloody crimson, very damn smooth, creamy, velvety, syrupy, bloody and rich body and easy to drink although it should be a highly sipping beer.

Overall:
I really can’t believe I made this. I really can’t believe how exceptional and over the top this beer turned out to be. I have only few people who have tried it to thank for telling me how ridiculously special this beer was. In a way, I am extremely happy with the results. In another way I am sad that because I spent so many resources and time, I only have such a damn small batch of the beer to share with close people. I just hope maybe one day this beer can win a home brewing competition. The alcohol while high, is ridiculously masked by ridiculous complex flavors. It came out sweet and dessert like but it is still a super heavy hitter. That is why I feel it can really compete with the likes of even the most craziest of High gravity and coveted Whales. This monster is my baby and I am proud to have made this, my best beer ever! (At least until I can top it one day or make more!)

Anime Corner:
Krystal Fox from Star Fox was used in this pairing to represent the Vixen from the label description. She is only know as Oblivixen as it is a play at Oblivion (Unconscious or Unaware) and Vixen (female fox). The beer was so damn complex and dark like the vast infinite space and the vastness of the unknown that her being from Space or even another dimension made sense in my mind. Sweet on the outside she is, but deep in darkness and bloody she be. All good though, just remember this is only either a breakfast cup of coffee or a mind blowing dessert. All in all, it existence still baffles me. As the description says, you’ll be infinitely oblivious as you drink this. It will be all wort it.

Peanut Butter Milk Stout by Belching Beaver Brewery is a 5.3% ABV Milk/Sweet Stout brewed with peanut butter flavors

Label:
It’s All about the Beaver

Belching Beaver Brewery’s Peanut Butter Milk Stout. Feel Free to use it for Ice Cream floats. We made this beer for fun, and it has become a local favorite. So we thought, may as well bottle some. This beer says, even hard working Beavers can play around once in a while. We hope you love it too. If you do, let us know on Facebook if you don’t, call Troy directly and tell him. His head is getting just a little too big around the brew pad anyway.

This beer is refreshingly smooth. Tastes if roasted coffee, chocolate and peanut butter. Brewed with rolled pats and lactose, this beer has a silky smooth mouth feel finish. Don’t let the color fool you; this dark beer is easy drinking

Cheers,

Tom

As requested by my friend Oscar, I had to bring this one forth to the site. There have been very few peanut butter beers except for the awesome cocoa crispies tasting peanut butter cup porter from Karl Strauss or the the liquid bliss from Terrapin that I conciser awesome. I figure that getting this one is a good opportunity to bring forth another rare piece of craft brew recipe forward. Thanks for the beers Oscar 😀

Aromas:
Damn good peanut butter Reese’s butter cup aromas, dark chocolate, Milk chocolate, vanilla, peanut brittle, rye bread, mocha coffee, nutter butter peanut butter cookies, milk sugar, caramel, toffee and mild earthy notes

Flavors:
Lots of roasted peanuts with shells, peanut butter, nutter butter cookies, toffee, roasted coffee, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, earthy hops, Reese’s peanut butter puffs cereal, buttered rye toast notes, lactose milk sugar, and molasses

Aftertaste:
Peanut butter, rye hints, earthy hops and coffee notes linger. Nice a smooth, easy drinking and no alcohol in the taste.

Overall:
Great beer! Even if only 5.3% ABV, it set to what is supposed to do, taste like peanut butter and coffee bitterness for balance. Despite the fact that it says natural flavors or Ethyl alcohol (which created upon fermentation), do not believe the the artificiality. There is nothing artificial about this beer. It is craft brewed to perfection, set out to what it was intended, and that is rich dark roasty peanut butter and chocolate coffee flavors. Highly recommended. This one really is closer to peanut butter than the other other beers I have tried.

Anime Corner:
Makoto Nanaya from Blazblue was paired perfectly with this beer because not only did I want to show the label colors, but she is a nutty girl. She may not be a beaver, but she is a squirrel and squirrels love nuts. You can see how she tears up pine cones like she tears up nuts. Either way, with the rich flavors of peanut butter that are given from this beer, I couldn’t think of any other awesome characters to pair this beer with.

Side Project Volume 18 Liquid Bliss by Terrapin Brewing

479761_10100946381361130_1573686614_nRating: 4.95/5

Side Project Volume 18 Liquid Bliss by Terrapin Brewing is a 6.7% ABV Peanut Butter Chocolate Porter dry-hopped with Georgia peanuts. Been meaning to find this one as people keep saying it is like a Reese’s Peanut butter cup in a bottle.

Label:

Melt into another dimension with Terrapin’s newest Side Project… “Liquid Bliss”. This chocolate, peanut-butter porter concoction flows like a river of self-indulgent righteousness deep into the depths of your innermost childhood memory. Turn on, tune in, and drop out of this world for a tongue tripping experience of flavors never before so eloquently combined in a liquid or solid form.

The fragrance is of chocolate and coffee like normal porters. Some nutty roasted peanut smell but alittle bit. The flavors are of or roasted peanuts, milk chocolate, butterscotch, some caramel, vanilla, chocolate peanut butter cookies. The beer is not overwhelming and is very drinkable. Also because it is dry hopped, it balances out all the sweetness so you don’t get an overly sweet beer but also not too complex. Yet it is still buttery and the chocolate peanut butter notes are like that of a Reese’s peanut-butter cup but with mocha added :P. Simply on those type of notes its really good. Let it warm up and you will start to see more sweet notes. It would definitely pair up with some nice dessert :D.

Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Banana Ale Voodoo Doughnut by Rogue Brewing

Rating: 5/5

Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Banana Ale Voodoo Doughnut by Rogue Brewing is a 5.3% Fruit Beer brewed with Chocolate, Peanut butter and Bananas. LOL Yeah this is different but awesome. A Homer Simpson type of beer I’m sure. This is the Variant of the original Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale and recent release from Rogue.

Label:

A Collision of Crazies Rogue Ales has again collided with Voodoo Doughnut to create Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter Ale! This unique artisan creation contains a baker’s dozen ingredients including chocolate, banana and peanut butter to match Voodoo’s “Memphis Mafia” doughnut- a nod to Elvis’ entourage.
2-Row, C-150, C-175, Carafoam Special II & Chocolate Malts; Rogue Farms Revolution & Independent Hops; Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Banana; Pacman Yeast and Free Range Coastal Water

Initial smell was very enticing. Strong smell from the chocolate, peanut butter and bananas. Hints of vanilla and caramel are in the aromas as well. There is also a smell of like cherry glaze. Almost like walking into the Doughnut shop type of pastry smell. The Initial taste is somewhat smokey and grassy but all that dissipates as soon as the rest of the flavors take over. Milk Chocolate, peanut butter, banana bread, vanilla, caramel, maple, campfire graham cracker and marshmallow notes, brown sugar, raisin, cherry, definitely like this butterscotch after taste. They definitely worked hard to make this beer taste like a doughnut. The smokeyness is only there to balance out the sweetness. This beer has many notes but it is not overly sweet. The balance works very well towards its favor. It is not too much in alcohol and managed to hit a lot of pleasure notes in the taste buds. Got this one directly from Rogue so the distribution should be hitting Bevmo and other specialty liquor stores soon. Go and pick this up, its quite interesting and delicious…lol but don’t take my word for, judge for yourself.
