Black Metal Farmhouse Imperial Stout by Jester King is the first Jester King beer I have ever tried. For being the first, I am quite impressed. It is a pitch black brew of pure rock. The brew has flavors of chocolate, coffee, bread, bacon or honey roasted ham. The addition of hops makes it aggressive it is not too sweet. Just right. Reminds me of the Old Rasputin Russian Imperial but not as bitter. There is some dark fruit complex to this one as well. Like some cherries or blackberries. It can be felt faintly. Smokey and earth like flavors are abundant. Even though it is strong, it goes down smooth and creamy. A tasted of rock like the one I remember from Rauchstar, however that one was actually more smoked than anything. Just the fact that it also has that Wild Farm house yeast makes it very unique from the other smoked beers. Like someone took chocolate bread, sliced it up and made toast with a grapefruit and cherry jam. Kinda odd to explain I know but so it is hard to explain rock to someone who doesn’t know the epicness of the METAL!!!! \m/… Nothing can stop the metal!!!
