Calabaza Blanca Artisan White Ale by Jolly Pumpkin

Calabaza Blanca Artisan White Ale by Jolly Pumpkin was the first beer I have ever tasted from their line of funky sour ales. It has been an awesome item for me as it lead me to the very artistic labels of their line like Lost Abbey did with theirs. Art aside, JP has always been one of those types of beers that differ from many beers. Some of they styles fuse with existing styles to create a sour sweet blend of a beer. This style is a Belgian witbier at 4.8% ABV. So it has Lingering hidden flavors of sweet honey, banana, orange and lemon zest along with coriander. As an added twist, the beer tapers off into nice sour tangy notes that taste like sour grapes, apples and pears. There is also some wheat and bicuit bread feel that stays with you as you go for every passing sip. The beer is dry so you definitely have to keep sipping as all the greatness comes and goes. This is a year around beer but not all places will carry it.
