Grandpa Brians Caramel Apple Pie by Brew Rebellion is a 9.4% ABV Old Ale brewed with Caramel Apple Pie Flavors.

==Introduction==
Got this one at Craftshack.com. After trying many of the Brew Rebellion beers such as white chocolate raspberry and Peanut Butter Jelly for example, this one seemed to strike some flavor chords in my mind. The whole Caramel Apple Pie idea was just damn scrumptious and way too delicious to pass up. So I definitely wanted to get it along with the other goodies I got from the site. Since Brew Rebellion has had a great track record with me, let’s see how true their experiment shines here, cheers!

Flavors:
Rich Butterscotch, Red Apples, Green Apples, Pecan Pie, brown sugar, Rich dulce de leche caramel, vanila, coconut hints, toffee, walnuts, hazelnut nectar, Stone fruit peaches, apricots, dark fruit boysenberries, raisins, blueberries, black berries, dates, figs, figgy pudding, strawberry preserves, rye bread, strawberry short cake, cotton candy, marshmallow, smores chocolate, cinnamon, Pistachio ice cream, burnt caramel, grilled bananas, clove spice, funnel cake, waffle cones, buttery caramel popcorn and toasted rye bread.

Aftertaste:
Sweet caramel, caramel, apple pie, cinnamon, earthy notes, dark fruit soaked rye bread and vanilla. No alcohol in the taste, Dark brown crimson medium body, creamy, velvety, syrupy and silky mouthfeel and a sipping drinkability.

Overall:
Holy Malty Bombs Batman!! Is it me, or is it everything I keep trying from Brew Rebellion so far has been damn mind blowing. I don’t get it, but somehow they have mastered some crazy beer flavors of the likes I have not seen other than the Bruery and possibly Belching Beaver and the great extent, Terrapin. I am not sure how they do it but it taste way too close to what they were going for. I love this beer!

Anime Corner:
Shinon/Sinon Asada from Sword Art Online 2 was used in this pairing as I wanted to pair a girl with the color of green apples as green apples are what usually define caramel candied apples. Also, as Shinon’s colors look very similar to camouflage, it goes with the whole grandpa thing as many grandpa’s have stories of war and such but the cool part is they be making some very delicious apple caramel apple pies. Shinon in this pairing contrasts and complements just that. Cheers!

Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale by Coors Brewing

1234472_10101428762295870_1715574366_nRating: 3.2/5

Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale by Coors Brewing is a 5.8% ABV Herbed/Spiced beer made with apple juice and spices.

Label:
Thank You to All Our Fans that helped us craft our latest limited autumn release. For this fall seasonal, we blended fresh apple juice with cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel malts for a warming spice taste.
___

This release came out in the Blue Moon 12 pack for the fall release. The beer sounded interesting, so I saved a bottle for review. I was looking at it for a while. The only other Blue Moon that is exotic that I would like to try is their peanut butter ale.

Aroma are of cinnamon, caramel notes, nutmeg, apples, cereal grains, pilsner, maple notes, and spices

The flavors are of apples, cinnamon notes, caramel, hints of toffee, sugar, cereal grains, nutmeg, spices, brown sugar notes and coriander spice.

The aftertaste leaves dry with slight sweet and grainy taste. Refreshing and easy to drink.

Overall the beer is good. The sweet caramel, apple and spices comes in the begging but then it is drowned by the cereal, pilsnery taste. It is an enjoyable beer and something that should be tried a few times if on tap where available but I probably won’t seek it again unless it is sold in singles, 6 pack and something to drink only if I want little flavor to the beer and drink several.

HefeWeissbier by Weihenstephaner

HefeWeissbier by Weihenstephaner is a 5.4%ABV World Class German Hefeweizen. Considered the best German Hefeweizen in the world

RATE BEER DESCRIPTION:
Nothing refreshes you more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with its wonderful yeasty fragrance and taste. Goes well with dishes that do not have too intensive a flavour, especially that Bavarian speciality ‘Weisswurst’ or white sausage.
___

What a perfect way to rate that the best Hefeweizen in the world is made none other than the World’s Oldest Brewery (Since 1040) in Germany. A very common beer in many of the most common craft beers stores and can you believe, this is the first time I am trying it and to put the cherry on top, Hefeweizen style was my first favorite style around the time I started beer reviews. Crazy huh? Anyways, on to the review.

Aromas are dead on rich Banana cloves, with this one seems to have honey, vanilla, bubble gum, toffee, caramel, citrus, lemon, wheat, banana bread, peppery notes, caramel apple and butterscotch. The flavors are of Bananas, draped in honey, caramel, lemon, orange, peppercorns, bubble gum, wheat, banana bread, banana cream and biscuit bread. Simply amazing. No chance for comparison, even people who fathom the idea of what an awesome hefeweizen is supposed to be like have no idea what a REAL GERMAN HEFF is supposed to taste like. This is the best Hefeweizen I have ever had, but my love still goes out to the Hefeweizen Dunkel. The one made by Weihenstephaner and Franziskaner are the best. I’m a nut for more sweeter beers.

Dark Meddle (Beer# 11) by Gigantic brewing

Dark Meddle (Beer# 11) by Gigantic brewing is a 5.9% Vienna Lager brewed with Piloncillo Cane Sugar

Label:
“Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.” – Mark Twain

Our crafty homage to the vienna-style lager brewed by our Favorite Mexican Grupo. A malty, full flavored, dark brew, made extra-smooth with Piloncillo Cane Sugar. Unleash your inner luchador!
___

What intrigued me to pick this beer up was the artistic label but also the fact that this was a beer made in the Vienna lager style which many darker Mexican beers are made from but with Pilloncillo Sugar cane. For many that have not had Mexican Pilloncillo cane, it is sugar that is closer to caramel. It comes in sugar cones and is used for cooking. Upon smelling this beer, I was able to pick up aromas that were very citrusy. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, orange, nuts, spices, herbs and cinnamon. The flavors are really good and very present. This maybe a lager but it is close to an ale in appearance and flavors. Caramel, hazelnut, cinnamon, sugar cane roots, earthy hops, citrus, orange peel, caramel apple, dulce de leche on biscuit bread notes, herbs and minor hoppy bitterness. If they were to amp up Negra Modelo, Victoria or Dos Equis amber into major depths of flavor and really bring out the true full potential of those beers, make them less metallic bitter and watery, then maybe you would have something close this. Sam Adams Boston lager is another example of this style but this beer taste amazing for it’s style.
