Tripel by Brouwerij West

Tripel. at 8.5% ABV by year old company of San Jose California, Brouwerij West is their 9th beer in their series of new beers that opened distributing here in California recently. I picked up a bottle at Ramirez and well I was intrigued by the art work ;). So anyways, I decided to try it out. This delicious bready beer is brewed in the Tripel or Tripple style of Belgium. Flavors remind me of the M

audite of Unibroue. It is full of flavor yet surprisingly more pale and not as full bodied as some Tripels I have had in the past. There is this apple and peach cinnamon pie crust flavor. There is hints of citrus and possibly coriander in there. Leaves an aftertaste like a honey glazed biscuit dipped in champagne. Quite the pleasant little beer. If this brewery plans on sticking to Belgian styles, I will sure be getting some more. I was only able to find this one. Maybe once word catches, then I am sure we will see more. Support local breweries… wherever your from :)… Make them shine…you want to see sight beyond sight..or in this case taste beyond taste…. try a craft beer and see the difference for yourself…you will see why these beers are awesome :P!!!
