Demon Hunter (aka La Cacciatrice) Birra Artigianale by Birrificio Montegioco

Demon Hunter (aka La Cacciatrice) Birra Artigianale is a Belgian Style ale at 8.5% ABV. Made by Birrificio Montegioco of Italy is actually my first craft brew imported from there. Front and foremost is the fruit bread flavor. It reminds me of the Maredsous 10 tripel I had the other day. Except more fruity and sweet. This beer while not completely hazed, it does show some consistency. It has a very pleasing scent like a wine would with grapes, cranberries, herbs, pepper, and other nice spices. First taste was overwhelming. It has this minor nutty brown ale pilsner malt notes except if it was aged with Belgian yeast to a nice complex perfection. However the fruits of the raisins, strawberry, apples and peaches stay with you from start to finish and even in the after taste. WOW…damn good stuff. There are also flavors of brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, hazel nut sweet bread and barley. Hunt this down if you can find it. I actually stumbled upon this one by accident and believe me, it was a good catch >:P. A highly sweet fruity bread magic potion that many Belgian beer lovers would go nuts over 😀
