Texas Brown Ale by Stone, Bear Republic, and Fat Head

Look what rolled into town. Something very brown and hoppy. This cowboy is the Texas Brown Ale. A 7.1% ABV collaboration by the bastards at Stone, Bear Republic, and Fat Head. Quite the different tasting ale for sure. This is no “New Castle” and for that matter it is something that rolled New Castle out of town for sure. A bad ass. SO what exactly is this beer all about. It is a beer brewed with brown sugar, molasses, munich, victory, chocolate, wheat, and Maris Otter malts.Columbus, Bravo, Brewer’s Gold, and Cascade join these to create one bad ass of the west. Distinguishing flavor for sure. It is almost like it wants to go IPA but then stopped by the malts into something that taste like mango and caramel pecan pie. There is still sense of minor coffee sugar with grapefruit after taste. There is also a sense of herbs that remind me of basil or whatever spices or herbs they put on those delicious spaghetti Ragu sauce. Such as damn good ale. Limited time brew and barely out so it is best top grab it now B-/ . Have it fresh as aging this one is not a good idea. Who will win this showdown….you or the beer….muahahahaha!!
