Samuel Adams Blackberry Witbier is one of those beers for me that when I see something that catches my eye I’ll try it. Last time I tried this beer was last year. I got a chance to try it again this year so I’m like what the hell, let’s fire up the dusty keyboard and write what it is all about. This beer is nothing too fancy but at the same time is something of a minor complex. Mixing wheat with b
lackberries. There are hints of orange and coriander as go with alot of white ales and heffeweizen styles. The only difference is well, you add the berry sweetness into the complex. The beer is pretty good if you are into sweet beers. Especially blackberries. There are some minor vanilla notes as wells as some very minor bitterness from hops. A very creamy beer. Almost like drinking a Blackberry/Orange Yogurt. It is a nice beer to sip on. One of those beers that you may like only if your into the sweets. Overall it is pleasantly decent and worth a go. Can’t really say there are many Blackberry beers out there, especially those that combine wheat with. Give it a shot if your into sweets, you may like this 😛
