Coton or “Cotton” in French, in the traditional sense of the wedding anniversary gifts, refers to the 2nd year in which Cotton is given. The beer will be released in 2010 but was sold as a special release in May 2015 to the public. I was able to snag a bottle since I have never had it or brought it to the site in the past. Here it is now so if your are able to trade for it, I hope my humble review helps you in your path to enlightenment to the great brews of old and supremacy. Cheers!

Lots of oak, port wine, Raspberry Chamboard, Rich dark fruit prunes, dulce de leche, leather notes, molasses, rye bread, tobacco, earthy notes, old stone fruits and aged sugar. It’s crazy to see how non-alcoholic this feels. Damn smooth, rich, creamy, soft and mildly syrupy mouthfeel, moderate to siping drinkability and crimson brown colored clear body.
A syrupy wine and barley wine fusion of complex proportions! This here for being 5 years old is one of the most, if not the most complex beer that has been aged for years, the most complex beer next to Draco from 2009. The beer is screaming for being one of the most complex beers I have ever had that was aged. I can probably admit that if I ever have Papier, then that would the up most of complexest experiences but this right here, even if not the 100% bourbon barrel aged has a ton to say for itself. It is the original so it deserves its merits as a veteran in the craft beer world. Which reminds me, I do have beers cellared from long ago. I wonder how those will be when I finally get around to them. Only time will tell.
Asagi Igawa from Taimanin Asagi was used in this pairing because I wanted to do a bad ass ninja but also the color of cotton which is white which was perfect for this pairing. Yes, she maybe from a restricted audience entertainment of Japan yet she is bad ass regardless. She fights for what she believes in and this beer for being 2nd to the supremest beer (Papier) fits the category of pure bad ass!. Hot as well (Complexity) Bad Ass (ABV) and drinks like an angel (Insert orgasmic drink quote here).
