Celebrator Doppelbock by Privatbrauerei Franz Inselkammer KG / Brauerei Ayinger

Rating: 5/5Celebrator Doppelbock at 6.7% ABV by Privatbrauerei Franz Inselkammer KG / Brauerei Ayinger is a world class German Doppelbock. Bock in Germany have been known to have goats on the label and reference a strong German lager. Doppelbocks are stronger as they have more alcohol and malts to create a beer that is rich creamy and delicious, yet still of the lager category (cold fermentation). This beer has a lot of sweet flavors such as chocolate, caramel, molasess and vanilla. There is also some bready flavor along with some dark fruit like plum as it smells and feels like there is some in there. Some minor cherry after taste and bitterness that from the earthy hops. Overall it is a good hefty beer as only Germany can produce and one of the best doppelbocks out there. Wish they sold it in a 6 or 12 pack.

2011 Review:
Celbrator doppelbock, Almost like a stout but very complex and unique. Bevmo was right about putting this one in the high 90’s. Very sweet 😛
