“Tout Mais Le Coller” loosely translates to “everything but the stick,” so pure orange cream is what is referenced here. I didn’t know what to say when I picked up this limited release at Ramirez Liquor a couple of weeks ago, other than it was a cream ale. SO in my mind, I was thinking based upon the label, it was supposed to be an Orange Cream-sickle beer. I definitely had to put this to the test.
Aromas:
Lots of VERY RICH ripe and matured oranges, vanilla, caramel, orange peels, biscuit bread, grapefruit hops, sweet milk vanilla ice cream, sherbet ice cream, coriander spice, biscuit bread, honey, brown sugar, orange marmalade, orange cobbler, pecan pie and orange soda.
Flavors:
Matured oranges, orange soda, vanilla, caramel, honey, coriander, biscuit bread, orange marmalade, orange peel, Orange Cream sickle, rye bread, toffee, Sunny Delight, earthy and grapefruit hops, pecan pie, sherbet ice cream, vanilla ice cream, rainbow sherbet ice cream and candy sugar.
Aftertaste:
Lingering is more like orange soda, caramel, vanilla cream, rye, earthy notes but then finishing off dry. Moderate drinkability with no alcohol in the taste.
Overall:
They hit it dead on the money with a beer that taste like oranges and cream. Sunny D with creamy flavors. I exceeded my expectations as a beer that delivers what it says, literally. So with this, I recommend getting it if you still get a chance to find it. First ever, liquid orange cream-sickle beer.
Anime Corner:
Original artwork by Korean Anime artist, Hyung Tae Kim. I chose this piece to pair with a sweet orange cream-sickle beer because I wanted to show the colors and flavors of the beer. She is orange all over and the blue near her feet represent cryo or cold, meaning Orange Ice Cream or in this case, the Orange Cream-sickle. You can also tell where the white and yellow clothing are that it represents the cream filling of the orange cream-sickle. Yes I have a crazy imagination, thank you.
