Baby Tree (3 years aged) by Pretty Things is a 9% ABV Belgian Quadruple

Label:
Baby Tree is inspired by the great monastic quadruples of Belgium.

This beer is also inspired by a real tree on a farm in Yorkshire where dolls ride in a pear tree all day long.

Baby Tree by Pretty Things

Rating: 5/5

Baby Tree by Pretty Things brewing is a 9.0%ABV Quadruple Belgian Ale. Rating quads is a difficult task. Reason being is that it is a style of Belgian beer fermented 4 times and aged that the many I have had, they are pretty damn good. Although not a lot of beers come close to St. Bernardus abt 12 or even Westvleteren 12 (Voted best in the world by the masses) this one is still very damn good. Flavors of caramel bread with fruits like prunes, plums, raisins, apples and cherries. It is spicy as well as it seems to have some cinnamon and banana cloves. Possibly a case of Bavaria meets Belgian yeast. Definitely Abby inspired. This is the second time I try this beer and by the words below, I think I state my case to advise that this one is very delicious.

2011: Review
LMAO I don’t know why this beer label reminds me of Baby Cakes in where him and his friends finally met the moon babies. LOL anyways, on the beer tasting. First whiff of Pretty things baby tree ale is very sweet. A quadruple fermentation Belgium style ale made with alot of awesome things. I would almost say its extremely closer to a Trappist really more than anything. The sweetness of roasted malts plus the Belgium yeast gives off a mild chocolate and dark fruit flavor such as figs and prunes as well as some caramel or toffee like taste. The alcohol level at 9% is really not noticeable. You will actually spend more time admiring the flavors of this ale and the label more than the alcohol :). I really enjoyed this beer even though the label was kinda childish but it is true though. Pretty things do come in small bottles such as this. Trust me, your taste buds will be thank you if you gave them this dessert beer. It really is :3. It may not be the St. Bernardus abt 12 but because of that sweetness it provides its close in my book, So this is what it feels like to finally meet the moon babies :D….Yes Steve, if your reading this..LOL I finally met the moon babies XD
