Curieux by Allagash is a 11% Bourbon Barrel Aged Tripel. Never had a Bourbon Barrel Aged Tripel before but…fuck it B-\. This beer extremely good, nuff said. Upon the initial smell it was sweet and bready as that of a Tripel…… When I finally got around tasting it… let’s give it a sip….HOLY SHIT!!!., I got major complex rush. DAMN…… For sweet beer lovers, you probably hit the potent sweet cookie dough beer right here. There is a major amount of bread and saison spice followed with a lot of sweet vanilla, caramel, honey, cinnamon, pineapple, pears, apples, bananas and mint. The after taste is bourbon and chocolate chip cookie dough like flavor. Quite the unique beer. Definitely world class :P. You have to taste this tripel, It is very good and so different my Belgian Beer friends. Downey Liquor had this one. Quite pricey but worth the connoisseuring on this part. Curieux sure hit this George’s Curiosity that is for sure…. Seems like those sweet flavors last a very very long time on the palette
