Brother Thelonious is a 9.4%ABV Belgian Strong Dark Abbey Ale. Made by the good people at North coast brewing. This beer is a tribute to the Jazz. Not many people understand the awesomeness of the Jazz. The good thing though, is that for every bottle sold of this awesome Belgian strong beer, donations go the the Jazz education programs of Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. Awesome
way to support the music culture :). So how is this beer? Well it sure reminds me a heck of a lot like the Lost Dog Belgian Porter in that there is a lot of dark fruit flavors pointing into the raisin, grape, and prune region. This beer is quite the treat with added bread, caramel, brown sugar, butterscotch, coffee and chocolate. First time I tried it and I realized it is very damn good :P. Belgian beer lovers try this one. It is pretty good. If you don’t like it, well at least it is going towards a good cause 🙂
