Black & Blue Grass by New Albanian Brewing is a spicy 6%ABV Saison brewed with Blue Agave. This is the first time I try New Albanian Brewing beer and I was impressed by what this ale had to offer. Outside of tequila, I have tried agave juice when I was living in Mexico as a kid so trying this reminds me of that. The beer really blends well the sweetness of the nectar with that sweet bread and black pepper taste. The aftertaste is that of lemon with a bit of grassy notes from the hops. There is also this wild yeast and floral feel as many saisons as well. Quite the nice beer, hard to find though. It is also refreshing as well.
