Shock Top Belgian White

Rating: 3/5

Shock Top Belgian White by Anheuser-Busch is 5.2% ABV beer. This is very common beer. I don’t often review common beers, but I was requested by a friend to do a beer review. So here it is. In terms of wheat beers, this one is brewed with coriander and citrus peels. Most people have this with a lime or orange. The flavor is decent. I would prefer other Belgian Whites over this one but when you have no other alternative when you go to the store or a restaurant then this will please the taste. I will say this, this beer is better on tap then in a bottle. The sediment doesn’t always mix all the way with the beer when poured out of the bottle so it is best to get it well mixed in there. The orange citrus is there with a little bit of grainy feel but it finishes dry. So it definitely makes you want to try some more. It is refreshing and sweet for sure but not as sweet as Blue Moon’s flavor. This is one was a beer of choice for me when I first started exploring different beers several years ago. So what if it has A-B on it, I am pretty open for a lot of beers 🙂
