Underworld Brewing Traditional ale at 7% ABV is an America Strong ale brewed by Rhinelander Brewing company. My friend Hugo bought 4 of these at the Fresh and Easy for a little kick back we had at his pad the other day. When I first saw the label I was like, Holy SHI-!!!. Hugo, Oscar and I had a beer and the last one he wanted me to review it. Our friend Julio had a taste but he couldn’t drink due
to his upcoming surgery. So here you go bro this ones for you :). To start off, when I first opened the beer, it had this amber ale fragrance with some roasty malt chocolate and some minor grassy hops. Trying it was pretty awesome. It is actually more of a porter than what I though previously from the whiff of it. A sweet rush of caramel and vanilla with chocolate and bourbon like aftertaste with some earthy hop bitterness. There is also a minor smokey character but not as smokey as a stout but just enough to compliment the bitterness . This beer is more of a dessert beer and would probably compliment like chocolate cake. A decent pickup for sweet and bitter lovers of beer.
