New Belgium’s Trippel is a Triple Fermentation style Belgian beer. NB brews it with Coriander spice at 7.8% ABV. Got this as a freebie as I was on my way out from the usual place I grab goods. Maybe not as mysterious as many I have tired before but an ale with coriander sounds a lot like a heff. However because its in the Belgian triple style, well it leans more to a bready orange like heff. Needless today, while it is not as full bodied as most trippels or Belgian ales, it sure is good and full of flavor. I would almost say it is like a light Trippel. The beer has bready banana, citrus and caramel flavors. Very sweet indeed and doesn’t pack a wallop. These beers normally come in 6 packs as they are easier to drink and full of flavor. Refreshing beer suitable for those who want to start off small and into the world of craft beers 😛
