King Goblin special reserve by Wychwood

King Goblin special reserve is a strong English made by Wychwood brewing of England. Coming out at 6.6%. The beer is aged and only brewed during a full moon. Made with crystal malts and sovereign hops. The ale itself smells sweet. The taste is sweet like they added caramel, dark fruits and other spices. However the refreshing nut brown pilsner flavor comes through as dominant while the other flavors are complimentary. Clearly an awesome brew by wychwood which I wish they had more of a selection to choose from at the local bevmo.Lol this is something special I found one time at Ramirez liquor and as such, may probably not find again :(…..but it was definitely worth a try….just hopefully I don’t turn into a wolf…or in this case…a goblin >:)….

Second Review: Found this again and decided to do a second review. While there are some good nut brown English strong ales out this, this is a winner for over let’s say, New Castle. As you go on, you get this reminiscence of Dead Guy Ale from Rougue . Quite the difference and light and refreshing. Drinks more like a lager than an ale really. Good all the way and worth the pick up if you are just looking for something refreshing, not too heavy but delicious 😛
