Stone Sublimely Self Righteous (a.k.a Stone’s 11th Anniversary Ale) is 8.70% ABV black ale is one stones more herbal and hoppier of beers. For the hop heads that love more herbal and hop flavors like citrus, grapefruit and pine but without as much of the bitterness as well as those that like porters and chocolate/coffee beers just the same, then this is the beer. Another awesome thing is that it flows well and is quite refreshing. A beer about how awesome Stone is. They are not perfect by no means but sure provide beers that are definitely different, bad ass and mean. There is some sweetness from the malts that taste a little bit like oak and coffee. A yearly find and worth the try. This is like their Escondidian Black IPA (15th Anniversary) if it was toned down a bit in terms of aggressiveness.
