Hellshire I Bourbon Oak Barrel Aged Barley Wine at 10%ABV comes from the dark recesses of Oakshire where beer is laid in secrecy to not see the light of day for a very very long time. Until now, this one was kept hidden. Like the conspiracy that hides deep within the nations surface. Today on President’s day we celebrate the four fathers of this country who were also master brewers.What this nation is has changed from what it used to be back then. Anyways, I won’t get into politics but the presidents sure did enjoy good beer back then. Even Franklin, even though not president, once said “Beer is proof that God loves us!” So about the beer. The barley wine is added to the freshly emptied bourbon barrels and set to ferment and become something else. Like a caterpillar going into a cocoon and becoming a butterfly. After 9 months this baby is born to bloom its new character. Something quite evil but yet delicious. The boozy bourbon and the sweet barley flows through creating flavors of Vanilla, coconut, raisins, pine, caramel. This beer is similar to angel share and deliverance in that it is bourbon driven but unlike those beers, it is as if we combined Stone’s Old Guardian with Angel Share. Strong stuff even for 10% ABV. Funny thing is, even though it is hard to see in the picture, the beer is actually more copper in color and somewhat see through. Would I recommend it? YES!, however, this is almost impossible to find :-/… Good luck
