Shock-top Wheat I.P.A.

I don’t think I often do reviews of some of the more common brews out there. Especially brews from Anheuser-Busch. But this is new and well I gotta admit the name intrigued me. This is Shock-top Wheat I.P.A. at 5.8% ABV. I am a big fan of Wheat and heffeweizen beers as well as I.P.As. This is a beer that combines heffeweizen flavors like corriander, orange peels and lemon zest with piney grassy bitter hops of IPA beers. This beer taste like a more bitter shock top orange wheat. There is is minor hop flavor in there but the orange wheat dominates the palette on this one. Feels grainy but other wise okay. If I had to choose between Shock top and this, I would go with this one as it is more bitter. Unfortunately in the IPA category it is missing some more hops. Other than that this beer is decent. There are other beers out there that may fit the bill from the common 🙂
