This is More Brown Than Black IPA. Another awesome collaboration by Stone, Alchemist and Ninkasi brewing companies. The brew was made as a fund raiser to assist those that lost their homes after Hurricane Irene in Waterbury Vermont on August 28th 2011. Alchemist was also hit by the disaster and lost their pub and brewing company. All proceeds of the fund raiser will go to assist those families aff
ected by the Hurricane. I am glad I made even a small difference. So about the hoppy oregano brew. This beer smells like oregano. The actual flavor itself is very herbal and floral. I get senses of usual Pine and citrus flavor with Italian like herbs and spices like that of the 15th Anniversary however unlike that beer, the malts seems to flow in there giving it a chocolatey after taste. There is also this fruity taste of peach and floral like rosey taste. It finishes dry so it makes you want to sip some more. Another awesome brew to add to the awesome collaboration list of Stone :D…Awesome, and the best part is that beer is actually helping others in need is the best part…cheers 🙂
