My search is complete. For the most part I have now tried everything in the Jolly Pumpkin Menu. This beer is Persiguidor Oak Aged Ale batch 1. This ruby golden brew is a combination of that puss and boots beer “La Roja” and the original Bam Biere. Both are combined and aged together in oak barrels. This brew is really old. We’re talking 2006 old. Just right to get all the great flavors from it. The whiff of it seems like nice JP sour/wine like ale touch. However, to my surprise there was smaller percentage of the grapey sourness. In fact It has alot more different types of awesome flavors. I get a taste caramel apple with cherry pie and bread flavor. Very distinct notes of sourness but more vanilla flavor here. Some orange and berry flavors are hidden there. No carbonation hardly and must be greater than what the bottle says at 7.20% ABV for sure. Jolly Pumpkin ales have a diverse selection of beers and also my favorites. For those that do not like sour ales, don’t be afraid to test this one as it is more fruity and bitter than others. LOL like Biere de Mars aged, ultimate sourness on that one. A hard brew to find for sure but if you ever do find it don’t mind picking one up and trying. This is gold for those seekers/persiguidores of beer. You will surely find this one amazing!!!!
